Implementing Transportation Improvements in Tysons, Count Staff Presentation, July 14, 2011

Embedded below is the presentation County staff made to the Tysons Committee on what transportation improvements--roads and transit--should be implemented at Tysons Corner and how they should be paid.  The bottom line is that the staff proposes that the public pay $991 million and the private sector pay $706 million in the $1.7 billion, 20-year effort.  It remains unclear why the public should pay the bulk of the costs for these improvements when the economic benefits will accrue almost exclusively to the private sector.
