Vote in the RA Board of Directors Election, March 2-April 3

Re-post from the Coalition for a Planned Reston (CPR) website.

Vote in the Reston Association
2020 Board of Directors Election
March 2-April 3

The upcoming Reston Association 2020 Board of Directors election is critical for the independence and financial well-being of Reston as a planned community. CPR urges all Restonians to vote, online or by mail, beginning on March 2 and ending on April 3.

Your vote is necessary to elect candidates who are highly knowledgeable of and actively engaged in critical land use issues facing Reston. These include:
  • Keeping RA property as RA property (not transferring our parks and recreational areas to Fairfax County)
  • Maintaining the current density cap, and
  • Retaining two 18-hole golf courses as essential open space.
Reston Association will be an important participant in the upcoming Reston Comprehensive Plan Task Force announced by Supervisor Alcorn. We need RA Board members who are committed to growing Reston as a welcoming, planned community and maintaining fiscal transparency.

CPR suggests that you listen to the candidate’s statements:
RA Board of Directors Election Video, and attend or watch the Candidates’ Forum at Reston Association headquarters on February 26 at 6:30 p.m.
