Public hearings on fiscal year 2013 budget, tax rate and potential
movement on county executive search during the April 12 Board of
Supervisors meeting.
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will vote Tuesday on the
county’s participation in Phase II of the Dulles Metrorail project.
Anthony Griffin, who will retire as county executive later this month, is recommending the board confirm its participation in the project
while remaining vigilant in its pursuit of additional funding for the
$2.7 billion extension. Failure to participate could mean significant
changes to the direction of the project.
Some Fairfax County residents think the project is too expensive, and
are worried about drastic increases on the Dulles Toll Road, which is
funding much of the project. . . .
