If there were any doubt about the sad state of the Fairfax County Public Library system . . .

. . . this Washington Post graphic should disabuse you of your optimism.  It shows Fairfax County (the nation's second wealthiest county) ranks 15th among the 19 counties in the Washington metropolitan area in the quality of its public library system as rated by the Library Journal Index of Public Library Service, the nation's authoritative public library center of excellence.

Shame on the Board of Supervisors and the FCPL Board of Trustees for letting  this happen--and continuing to let it happen!
