RCA Critique of Version 5 of Reston Comprehensive Plan Draft Language
Just a question... if, in the end, RA has to pay for parks/recreation facilities for new residents who are not RA members - can they charge an extra fee to non-residents to recoup the cost? FCPA does this already, for non-county-residents registered in sports clubs using county fields.

ReplyDeleteYes, MRD, they can--and do. Right now, non-RA members can buy pool/tennis passes that cover the cost of use (much higher than the $20 for RA members).
ReplyDeleteBUT, they only pay for the service they use rather than the full cost of all RA services, including trails, covenants staff, etc.
Non-RA members can pick and choose; RA members can't
