President of Reston Citizens Association (RCA)
RCA has had another active week. We've been very active in disseminating information about the Silver Line, and last Friday we met with representatives of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority to share our analysis and our ideas for reducing the burden on Toll Road users. I had originally planned to write this week about the latest developments on the Metro front, and what lies ahead for the project.
However, I decided to change directions when I read the news that RCA's founder and first president, Dick Hays, has passed away. So today, I'm paying tribute to the man who brought to life the organization that I now lead, the man who first dedicated RCA to preserving and improving the quality of life in Reston. . . .
