To the editor:
Who are these people who make these decisions that disrupt people’s livelihoods? Obviously these people don’t have to rely on the bus to get to and from work. A majority of the people who ride the bus don’t have the option of taking a car to work as an alternative means of transportation. I realize the county has money problems, or so they say. I don’t know what the answer is but cutting bus service is not the cure-all. What about living on a budget like we all have to. Maybe the ones who made these decisions should take a “voluntary” cut to help out the cause. The money you save with this decision will end up being spent on unemployment. There needs to be more fiscal accountability from the county especially with “our money.”
